A few programs that the Veterans/Auxiliary are involved in.

Homeless Veterans Holiday Dinner-Waco

Volunteer and assist in the serving of meals for  homeless Veterans at the V.A hospital in Waco, TX.

Local Community Projects

 Local events that have been established and/or maintained by our organization. 

  1. Host the Memorial Day and Veterans day ceremonies at the Veterans park. 
  2. The placing and retrieval of flags at Memorial and Veterans day on the headstones of our fallen at our local cemetery.
  3. Backpack project which includes necessity items for the homeless. These packs are distributed anywhere we find homeless or veterans in need.
  4. Scholarship  for Wise County Veterans and their legal dependents. 
  5. Helping local area veterans during times of crisis or need.

Fundraising

We are not funded by any Government entity. The funds we raise are by our members and auxiliary through donations, sponsorship and fundraising events. These funds go toward helping Veterans in times of tragedy such as fires, floods, accidents and medical emergencies. Below is some of the ways we raise funds:

  1. Bake sales.
  2. Veterans day auction and raffles throughout the year.
  3. Cookbook sales .
  4. Helmet drives.
  5. Donations and sponsorships.
  6. Selling ad space on the front of the Cargo Trailer.
